In December 2015, Boris Johnson – then London Mayor – denied claims by Donald Trump that London had no-go zones.
Unfortunately, Boris didn’t stop there. Instead, he spoke liberally about how awful the Republican nominee was. In an article for The Telegraph, he said there were parts of New York he would avoid because of the “risk of meeting Donald Trump”.
He also told a reporter that he wouldn’t invite Trump to visit London because that would pose an “unnecessary risk” to Londoners. That is, they might meet him.
That’s not to mention talk of Trump being “out of his mind” and having “stupefying ignorance”.
Boris Johnson’s conclusion? Trump was “unfit to hold the office of president.”
No wonder Nigel Farage is talking about the need for mending fences between the UK and US governments…
